The Muslim Association of Canada – Calgary Chapter ( MAC-CC ) main goal
is to serve Muslims and to convey the moderate and comprehensive
teachings of Islam and further to unite the Muslims in Calgary. MAC–CC
strives to complement and to cooperate with all organizations in Canada
and especially in Calgary for the sake of our DEEN. MAC-CC emphasizes on
Tarbiah work (Educational Programs) that helps Muslims and especially
the Youth to understand Islam and to integrate productively within our
Canadian society.
The City of Calgary is considered one of the
most booming cities in Canada as for oil and gas businesses. Calgary's
population is estimated to be a little above one million residents,
which about 70,000 of them are Muslims. Majority of the Muslim community
are Lebanese then Pakistani, East Indian, Middle East, Somalia, Turkey,
Bosnia and others.
